Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation terms are not negotiable. We strongly recommend guests arrange travel insurance.

Please note that bookings made through third-party websites (including Booking.com) are subject to their own terms and conditions, and all cancellation requests must be made directly with the agent you booked through.

For the best rates and flexibility, we recommend booking directly with Leigh Central.

Standard Cancellation Policy

(Applies to all direct bookings, excluding Booking.com)

All cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will incur 100% of the total booking cost.

COVID-19 is now considered a known risk. In the event of future government-mandated lockdowns, policies will be reviewed accordingly.

While we do not wish to be punitive, late cancellations represent a significant loss of income opportunity for our small business.

Re-booking option

Guests may re-book once for a later date within 90 days, and the deposit may be carried forward as a credit.

If we are able to re-book the cancelled accommodation, a full or partial refund may be offered at our discretion.

Peak Season Cancellation Policy

The above conditions apply, however a minimum one-month cancellation period is required for the following peak periods:

  • Christmas / New Year: 21 December – end of Waitangi Weekend
  • Easter: Good Friday – Easter Monday

 

Cancellations made within one month of arrival during these periods will incur 100% of the total booking cost.

Amendments & Transfers

  • Amendments are accepted only for bookings made directly with Leigh Central or via our website, and are subject to management approval.
  • Bookings made via agents or third-party platforms cannot be amended by Leigh Central.
  • Amendments requested within 72 hours of arrival may be treated as cancellations.
  • Amendments that reduce the total booking value will be treated as cancellations.
  • Bookings are not transferable without prior written approval.

Conduct & Behaviour

Leigh Central is located within a residential neighbourhood. We ask all guests to behave respectfully.

  • No loud noise after 10:00pm
  • No parties or excessive drinking
  • No smoking or vaping inside any accommodation or venue buildings

 

Failure to comply may result in termination of the booking without refund.

Pets

  • Pets are not permitted in the Motel, Cabins, or Bach (including staying in vehicles).
  • Well-behaved pets are welcome in the Motorhome & Caravan Park only and must remain under control at all times.
