Seaview Room

The Seaview Room is the jewel in the crown. This beautiful space, which used to be the old Public Bar, has room for 130+ guests (seated) and features an amazing ocean panorama across the bay to the Tawharanui peninsula.

With whitewashed walls, polished concrete floor, rustic mantle and stunning grapevine wreath chandeliers, it’s a stylish coastal canvas awaiting your final decorative touch.

At one end you’ll find a handcrafted bar, complete with drinks chiller and glass washer, plus the option to hire our keg chiller for your own craft beer or cider.

Two large pin boards offer space for photos and there’s also an integral PA system plus sound and lighting options available for hire for a live band.

Included in your per head hire fee are our round banquet tables and white rattan-style chairs to seat all your guests, plus rectangular tables for buffet or head table options.

Also included is our white coupe Royal Thai Porcelain dinnerware and classic modern design stainless steel cutlery. Water tumblers, beer handles, tea and coffee facilities, plus water bottles and decorative extras for the tables are included in the per head fee.  (* N.B. You will need to provide or hire your own wine glasses and round tablecloths).

Huge bifold doors open out onto our grandstand deck which flows onto the Seaview Lawn. Complete with small outside bar and barbeque space, the lawn features a rustic wedding arch with sheer entranceway curtain and is large enough to fit a 15 x 10 metre marquee – the perfect location for an outdoor ceremony. We have twenty black café-style chairs for outdoor ceremony seating, plus cushions and rugs for casual seating on the lawn and deck.


Commercial Kitchen

Our Commercial Kitchen is a caterer’s dream! Big on space and facilities there is room to cater for a crowd from here.

Equipment includes a Bakbar turbo fan electric oven, 6 burner gas hob with commercial double oven, grill plate, super-fast commercial dishwasher, freezer, standalone chiller and cool room, plus hot water boiler. A huge plating up bench flows through to the servery in the Courtyard Lounge, making service a breeze for waiting staff.

Extras for hire:

Include a deep fryer, heated chafing dishes, rice cooker, soup cauldron and commercial size pots and pans if your caterer wishes to make use of these.

Options for hire:

The Kitchen is also available for standalone hire if the function rooms are not in use.


Guest Lounge

The Guest Lounge is a smaller relaxing, space which can be hired in conjunction with our larger rooms if the whole venue is booked.

Featuring an original deco fireplace, comfy old sofas and a bach kitchen – it is the perfect small spot to unwind or use as a kids’ zone or extra family gathering spot if your guests are all staying onsite in our Coastels.

Large sliding doors and bi-fold windows open out to the camper’s lawn area – which can be available for field games as a fun option during the cocktail hour or use the area as a drinks and nibbles area away from the main room.


Courtyard Lounge

Our Courtyard Lounge, which used to be the Lounge Bar in the old Leigh Pub, is perfect for smaller groups, conferences, cocktails or buffet stations.

This more intimate space caters for up to 40 guests seated (50 standing) and opens outside to a peaceful and sunny walled garden courtyard, complete with chiminea and fountain. It has a bar, drinks chiller, servery through to the kitchen and features a projector and screen plus whiteboard – making it ideal for an offsite/ out of office getaway.

We have ten blue rectangular tables with accompanying black café style chairs that can be used in this room – or our round banquet tables and white chairs may be used in this space for a different ‘look’.
